README - Bookantiqua Book Antiqua is a TrueType font that looks almost identical to Palatino. The recommended approach to using this font is to call the mathpazo package, and then redefine the text font as Book Antiqua using the commands: \renewcommand{\familydefault}{mba} \renewcommand{\rmdefault}{mba} Messing with the existing math fonts is not recommended in this instance. == Installation == Installation after unpacking the zip file should be straightforward, but the exact path location depends on your TeX distribution. The following assumes TeXLive-2007 on Mac OS X. * Make sure the enc files have been copied to ~/Library/texmf/fonts/enc or the equivalent. You only need to do this if they are not already installed. * Copy the bookantiqua folders in tfm and vf into ~/Library/texmf/fonts/tfm and ~/Library/texmt/fonts/vf respectively, or their equivalents. * Copy the bookantiqua folder in tex into ~/Library/texmf/tex/latex (and then any subfolder that you prefer) * Copy the bookantiqua.map file into ~/Library/ttexmf/fonts/map/pdftex of the equivalent. * Take whatever steps your TeX distribution requires to inform it that new files have been installed and to pay attention to the new map file. In addition you will need to obtain the Book Antiqua files (installed with most Microsoft products), copy them into and rename them as follows: BookAntiqua to mbar16.ttf BookAntiqua-Bold to mbab16.ttf BookAntiqua-Italic to mbari16.ttf BookAntiqua-BoldItalic to mbabi16.ttf
